Coal is currently one of the biggest issues facing Australia as it producing too much fossil fuel. As stated by Todd woody, Wind turbines are sourcing 30 percent of Australia’s energy production, and today is one leading renewable energy projects the country it self has to offer, this statement I believe is overly correct and is why I believe that wind turbines are a lot more environmentally friendly than coal burning. Current efforts to minimize global warming are based on the expectation that the people across the globe will agree to and toward a sustainable and eco friendly future. The aim is to improve the balance between coal emissions and fossil fuels. These stats recorded show that the win d turbines are very safe and have a good reputation. With a total of 513,954 homes across the gold coast a wind turbine farm would be the most appropriate power source to fuel all the homes across the gold coast. With each wind turbine tower producing aproxamently 3.5 mega watts a day one turbine can power up to 2500 homes (Siemens Energy). To power the gold coast you need only 412 turbines, which is a very energy efficient source, with the wind average of 13 knots a day (statistics by Australian Government. Bureau of Meteorology) these turbines can still produce up to 1.5 mega watts a day. As stated above wind turbines are a very efficient source of energy production, with one turbine powering up to 1250 homes across the gold coast. The average cost of a wind turbine is around about 3-4 million dollars, which is reasonably cheap because it powers many houses. It is also cheap for a power bill because it is usually less than 1-cent per kill watt. These costs off wind power could lower your power bill up to 60%, which will allow you to spend your money on other things and not on electrical bills. In order to move forward clinically or in research to address the problem of emotional and behavior disorders one must first have a solid definitive grasp on the nature of the problem and what it ultimately is, definitionally. Pratt provides many examples of ethnographys throughout her essay, including two texts by Gunman Pomp and her son, Manuel. Although very different in setting, ideas, and time periods, they both accomplish the difficult goal of cross-cultural immunization. When two cultures collide in the same area often if not always a conflict occurs. The conflict is that one of the cultures is dominant and the other subordinate, where one holds power over the other. And in which the oppressive culture defines what is legit and lawful. Pratt argues that these factors are only imaginary, and these factors only remove them from the conception of the actual living community. She defines transfiguration as to describe processes whereby members of subordinated or marginal groups select and invent from materials transmitted by a dominant of metropolitan culture (peg. 05), Pratt is also trying to define that it is an error to assume that all people in a community must share the same language, motives and beliefs. These are the beliefs of the culture that is dominating; however, in reality this community is marginalia and nobody is being recognized by the Whole. Even though those marginalia communities are recognized as superior, multiculturalism is a necess ity as it allows for culture to drift through universities and politics to represent them in the world. In 1613 Gunman Pomp, an Andean who claimed righteous Inca fall, wrote a twelve hundred page long letter to King Philip Ill of Spain. This letter was unique because it was written in bono languages, Spanish and Quiches, the native language of the Andean. Somehow, Pomp succeeded in interacting with the Spanish in a contact zone, which is a social space where cultures meet, clash, and grapple with each other (peg. 4). This contact zone forced pomp to learn the Spanish language and culture and use it to his advantage. With this knowledge Pomp wrote a letter in which he combined Andean values with European manners and ideas, which is a clear example of the idea of cross-cultural communication. Unfortunately, his work never reached its intended recipient, for unknown reasons; therefore, did not get recognized until after a few hundred years later. Pomp constructs his text by appropriating and adapting pieces of the representational repertoire of the invaders 589). He presents Spaniards as greedy and foolish people, and says they brought nothing in value but guns and armor With the desire for gold and silver_ He uses transmutable characters to represent Spanish greediness not only in the written text, but also in images.
